Background

The Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre is one of three large State Government facilities for youth justice training and detention in Victoria. The existing ageing facility required a new development to increase resident capacity and improve the facility security.

Lee Group was successfully selected by Cockram Construction as the preferred contractor for the fencing required. Lee Group extensive Government facilities track record and credentials were vital in being awarded this contract.

Stringent adherence to process was required while working on an operational detention facility.

Solution

We successfully designed, engineered, manufactured and installed a new 358 mesh fence with an anti-climb duct. Framed 358 mesh was used to divide and fence internal yards and stores.
