Background
A sally port is a secure, controlled entryway to the prison. It usually includes two or more sets of doors that can be barred independently to further protect the prison and control any entry and exit from the prison.
Lee Group was awarded the contract to fence the new Sally Port at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre and it was completed in 2016.
Solution
358 Fencing to three side of the Sally Port
Manufacture and install over 71 metres of 3000mm high 358 mesh fence with two rows of razor wire to increase the overall height of the fence to 4500mm.
Double 358 Gates to Sally Port opening
Manufacture and Install one pair of 5 metre wide x 3 metre high double gates with razor wire above. Supply and install automatic hydraulic gate openers.
Single Exit Gate
Supply and install one single 1 metre wide x 2100mm high single 358 security mesh gate with razor wire above set into the 358 security fence.
Double Colorbond Gates
Manufacture and install one pair of 5metre wide x 5 metre high double gates to be cut into and match the existing Colorbond perimeter fence.
The gate were sheeted with 358 mesh to the new sally port side and on the prison side the gates were sheeted with colorbond to match the existing perimeter fence previously installed by Lee Group.
Supply and install automatic hydraulic gate openers.
