Background
Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (formerly the Deer Park Metropolitan Women’s Correctional Centre) is a maximum security women’s prison located at Deer Park, Victoria. It is Victoria’s largest women’s prison and holds over 260 prisoners.
To ensure the integrity of the prison an upgrade of the existing perimeter wall was required. Working with APM Group, Lee Group was awarded the contract to design, engineer, manufacture and install a new perimeter wall.
Solution
Perimeter Wall
We successfully designed, engineered, manufactured and installed a new state if the art anti-climb colorbond fence.
A 5000mm double sided colorbond wall was installed – approximately 750 metres in length.
An anti-climb duct was added above the fence for added security
The wall included a 600mm X 600mm anti-dig concrete plinth.
The project also included the removal of the existing perimeter fencing.
