MCG YARRA PARK REBURBISHMENT

Lee Brothers are refurbishing all the Chainwire fencing on this project for the City of Yarra – car parks, Jolimont train station, Punt Road Oval, pedestrian paths and Yarra parklands in general.

We are also replacing a portion of the Timber Bollards and post and rail fence around the parklands perimeter.

Lee Brothers have had a few challenges – first being, working with whats known as the ‘Railway Danger Zone’ – where we had the job of replacing Chainwire fencing that was situated within 3 mtrs of the railway track. This involved a complex procedure that required level 1 accredited Rail industry approved installers.

All fencing has now been replaced from the rusted galvanized panels to new powdercoated Black panels.

Secondly Lee Brothers fencers had the task of completing the project within a very high traffic area including Punt road. Bollards, post and rail perimeter fencing around pedestrian footpaths and parklands were installed, to replace the rusty galvanized existing barriers located right near the road curbs and constant peak hour traffic.

Lee Brothers received a number of commendations for the work that was completed in this project.

These areas have been ascetically improved for up coming tourism events such as World Cricket and the Australian Open.
